Hi Everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! With December nearly upon us, and the launch of a new write.click.scrapbook gallery, it's time for a little sneaky peak of what lies ahead! I have to say, this may be my favourite layout of the year, perhaps due to the theme for this month...can you guess what it is?
The monthly gallery reveal at Write.Click.Scrapbook. is just around the corner, and I'm here today a little sneaky peak at my creation for this month. I had a bit of a hard down narrowing down my choice that fit with this months theme, but when I thought about - it was obvious. See if you can guess this months theme from my sneak. For more sneak peaks from other members, check out the blog.
Lately I've been playing catch-up with my Studio Calico kits, so am getting quite a bit done. I try to get at least 4-6 layouts per kit, but I find after that I'm usually done (as in bored), and am ready to move on. Since it's been a while since I've shared layouts, I will post a round-up today by kit. So, here we go!
Daydram Believer (February 2012)
So Cal (June 2012)
Elmwood Park (July 2012)
I also did a mini with this kit, which I'll share another day :)
Summer of '69
Ok - well that's it for today! Hope you enjoy browsing though!
I'm back! I got tied up last week with the craziness of September birthdays, and the start up of the years activities, including cubs, brownies, swim team, choir and gymnastics! I was also busy making some super cute projects that I'm going to share today. I had the opportunity last week to design with the fabulous twine by The Twinery, to create some projects for write.click.scrapbook. I adore bakers twine, and have been using it on my projects for a long time, but this was the first time I had used the Twinery twine, and I am a complete convert! It was seriously my favourite twine I have ever used - who knew twine could vary so much between manufacturers! What I loved about it was that it was thick, but not bulky and it was super vibrant. The colours really popped, and I got a chance to sample all 22!
MINI CARDS
When my twine arrived, I was completely inspired by the colours. They were so much brighter than I expected, so I wanted to make a project that showed off how vibrant they are. I decided to create a set of mini cards, pairing Twinery twine with some QuicKutz shapes and some stamped sentiments. I ended up creating 10 adorable cards that can be used for a variety of occasions. Here they are:
For Halloween:
colours: charcoal, mandarin, honeydew
colours: charcoal, mandarin, lemondrop, buttercream
For Valentines:
colours: lilac, pink sorbet
colours: maraschino, pink sorbet
For Christmas:
colours: honeydew, cappucino, maraschino
For Teacher:
colours: maraschino, honeydew
colours: charcoal, carribean, ocean
Just Because:
colours: lemondrop, shore, carribean
colours: cappuccino, flax, blossom
colours: charcoal, peapod
I also created a mini-book, so check back later for that! Thanks to The Twinery for the amazing twine!
I have to apologize for not posting last week - we had a small emergency here at home (everyone is ok.), but it took all week to get things under control. Anyway...I'm back, and I have a winner from my write.click.scrapbook giveaway!
The winner is comment number 34, "louann", who said "fun team to be on! thanks for the give away." Louann - can you please email me with your contact info and I ship your stuff right away! Thank you to everyone who participated in the blog hop, and for stopping by and commenting :)
I've managed a little time over the weekend and this week to squeek out a few quick layouts with the 35 mm kit from Studio Calico. I have a new way of storing my current kit, which is much more condusive to actually using it! I'll try to post a photo later this week - maybe it will work for you too! I've made 5 layouts with May's 35 mm kit (plus two add-ons), and will try to do a couple more. Honestly, there's enough stuff to way more than that, but I start to get a little bored - I'm usually good if I get anywhere from 5-8 with one kit. So, here's my latest, including my layout for this months write.click.scrapbook gallery:
I love this layout because the photo captures a classic expression on son's face. He's a real thinker, and asks thousands of questions - that I usually can't answer (not without the help of google anyway!). This layout features triangles that were cut with the original QuicKutz cookie cutter dies - still love my dies!
And two more quick layouts, about my husband :) Both feature hidden journalling, using the smash tabs as the pull tab.
I'm a stay at home mom, scrapbooker and stamper, and teddy bear artist.
